1. Data controller

We process personal data in accordance with Peruvian Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection and its current regulations.

2. Data we process and why

We only ask for the data needed for each purpose:

• Booking planner: name, date, tour, group size and comments, to answer your enquiry. This website does not store them: the form builds a message that you choose to send on WhatsApp from your own device.
• WhatsApp or email communications: the details you share, to reply, quote and manage your booking.
• Booking and service delivery: participants' names, ID or passport, nationality, age and phone number, to organise the activity, meet tax obligations and, where applicable, arrange insurance or entry tickets.
• Health information you disclose (allergies, medical conditions, swimming ability): only to decide whether the activity is safe for you and adapt it. We process it with your explicit consent.
• Complaints Book: name, ID, address, email, phone and complaint details, to handle and keep the complaint as required by consumer law.

3. Legal basis

We process your data with your consent, given when you contact us or submit a form; because it is necessary to provide the service you book; or to comply with legal obligations such as tax and consumer protection rules.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We only share it when needed to provide the service (for example, transport companies or activity providers), when required by a competent authority, or with technology providers acting on our behalf (email, web hosting and messaging), some with servers outside Peru, under appropriate security measures.

5. Retention

We keep booking data for as long as needed to provide the service and handle any complaints, and for the periods required by tax law. Complaints Book entries are kept for at least two years. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once no longer needed.

6. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection by emailing sotaadventure@hotmail.com with your name, a copy of your ID and your request. We will reply within the legal time limits. If you feel your request was not handled properly, you may contact Peru's National Authority for Personal Data Protection.

7. Minors

Data on participants under 18 is provided by their parent or guardian, who books the service and gives consent on their behalf.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the website, restricted access to the mailboxes that receive bookings and complaints, and storage of Complaints Book entries outside the public area of the server.

9. Cookies and third-party content

This website does not use its own analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded content from Google Maps, Facebook and TikTok only loads when you reach its section, and those platforms may use their own cookies under their policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its update date. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy between translations.
